Broomstones Curling Club makes its facility available for rent on the dates and times listed below. This gives you and your friends, family, co-worker, etc. a chance to experience curling. Priority is given to member-sponsored events. As rentals depend on volunteers from the club, a minimum of three weeks notice is necessary for any rental event.
The 2011-2012 season has ended. Rental requests for the 2012-2013 season will be accepted in September 2012. Please check back then for additional information.
During rentals, the club provides curling instructors and all necessary equipment. Participants should come dressed appropriately, with warm clothes (ideally layers) and clean athletic shoes shoes for time spent on the ice. In general, the club is rented for 3 hours to provide time for instruction, a short game, and social time.
The instructors will provide some information about curling as well as on- and off-ice instruction. Typically a mini-game will be set up among the participants to truly provide a feel for the sport.
The club has a full bar, with a bartender provided by the club. All beverages must be purchased at the bar. Food is not provided as part of the rental, however, renters may have their event catered or bring food into the club. The use of a caterer must be approved by the club prior to an event.
Fees:Rentals are $50/person during the week or $75/person on Saturdays. This includes bartending, instruction and use of the facility for 3 hours. A $300 deposit is required to reserve your day and time.
The warm room alone can be rented (no ice use or instruction) for $150/hour.
