When should I arrive for my time slot?
We anticipate a healthy turnout on March 7. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your assigned time slot to allow for shuttle transport and sign in. Also, please take into consideration the weather as you plan your travel time.
What if I miss my time slot?
We will do our best to work you into the next available time slot, but please make every effort to be on time. Please take into consideration the weather as you plan your travel time.
What if there is inclement weather?
Curlers, like postal carriers, curl rain, snow, sleet, or shine. However, in the event of severe, inclement weather, we may have to postpone the open house. Please check our website anytime after 9:00AM the morning of March 7th, we will post any changes on our home page.
What should I expect when I get there?
You will get an introduction to the sport of curling and then we will take you out on the ice! Expect to experience curling first-hand, have a great time, and leave with an adventure to share with your friends!
How long will I be there?
We estimate your visit to Broomstones will take a total of about 1.5 hours, give or take!
What do I wear?
You will be trying your hand at throwing a rock, so you will want to wear loose fitting warm clothes (gloves, sweater/sweatshirt, etc). We do play on ice after all! Please also wear clean rubber-soled shoes (like sneakers). We'll take care of the rest (equipment, instruction, etc)!
What other opportunities are there to experience curling at Broomstones?
We are not currently open for membership enrollment. We will take names of people interested in further curling experiences or potential membership for Fall 2010.
